IT’S HERE!!
After endless leaks and a handful of delays, I am finally able to tell you about the new DJI FPV drone!
I've never flown an FPV drone before, making me the exact target customer for DJI in this instance. Because the DJI FPV is loaded with the GPS-based flight-assistance technology we have become accustomed to with DJI drones, the DJI FPV is the first drone out there that a non-FPV enthusiast could realistically get high quality shots on without weeks of practise.
For those of you who don't know, FPV drones don't fly themselves. You have to manually control each input, and having tried manual mode on the new DJI Virtual Flight simulator, it's pretty hard to do!
The DJI FPV has the following technology you will not typically find on an FPV drone:
GPS positioning
Return-to-home
Emergency brake
Hybrid flight modes
A gimbal
Ocusync 3.0 transmission
20 minute flight time
So as a complete newcomer to FPV flying, I was able to put the drone in Normal mode and get flying immediately.
